During the BYE week for the varsity football team, the JV and Freshman continued action on Thursday night.

In the first game of the night, the MWHS JV Team hosted Boyd's JV team in a tight matchup.

Down by 4 with a few minutes on the clock, the Rams got a late touchdown from Charlie Toves to pull ahead for a 28-25 victory.

Charlie Toves recorded 4 touchdowns on the night to help lead the way on offense for the win. This win pushes JV to 4-1 on the season.

In the final game of the night, the Mineral Wells 9th grade team hosted Nocona's JV team.

Nocona took a lead late in the 4th quarter with around 2 minutes left in the game to hold a 20-16 lead. The Ram offense would complete a big pass to move into the red zone setting up the final score in the closing minute of the game. The defense would then hold on for a big 24-20 victory for the MWHS Freshman team.

The freshman move to 3-1 on the season.

All 3 MWHS teams return to action next week.
