The chilly rain did not stop Friday Night Lights in Iowa Park for our Mineral Wells Rams. The Rams lost on the road 33-20.

The loss was not without highlights. The Ram offense had 3 rushing touchdowns and several big pass plays to set up scores.

The Rams topped the Hawks in total yards, Passing yards and 1st downs despite the final score.

The first offensive drive was flawless as the Rams marched down the field for a score. It was capped off with a 2 yard touchdown on a QB sneak from Javon Johnson (XP No Good). The quarter ended with a 6-0 Ram lead.

The 2nd quarter, the Hawks offensive attack took control. The Hawks scored 2 TDs on rushes in the quarter, followed by a big pass TD to close out the half with a 19-6 lead.

The Rams came out in the 3rd quarter with a much needed scoring drive capped off with a Jackson Hicks 5 yard TD run (XP good). Iowa Park would answer in the 3rd with a long TD run. The 3rd quarter ended with Iowa Park leading 26-13.

The Hawks would come out in the 4th and add to their score on a 13 yard TD run. The Rams would fight back with a drive capped with a Jordan Johnson 7 yard TD run. The Rams would not have enough time to complete a comeback. The final score was 33-20 as Iowa Park took a knee to run out the clock.
